Application for Renewal of TCM Physician/Acupuncturist Practising Certificate 2026

Submission of Online Practising Certificate (PC) Renewal Application from 1 Apr 2026 to 30 Jun 2026

  1. TCM physicians and acupuncturists (“TCM practitioners”) on full registration with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (“TCMPB”) whose Practising Certificates (PCs) are expiring on 30 Jun 2026 and have met the compulsory Continuing Professional Education (“CPE”) requirements may submit online PC renewal applications from 1 Apr 2026 to 31 May 2026.

  2. TCM practitioners who have not met the compulsory CPE requirements will not be able to submit their online PC renewal applications. Please refer to the Guide on Compulsory CPE for the details on fulfilling compulsory CPE requirements.

  3. TCM practitioners who do not wish to renew their PCs should inform the Board in writing by stating the reason(s).

  4. If you wish to renew your PC, please follow the steps below:

    1. Login at the TCMPB website using your SingPass.

    2. Select [PC Renewal/Application] under [Application] tab.

    3. Check and update (if applicable) your personal particulars, and details of your principal practice place and/or secondary place(s) of practice1. Attach the relevant supporting documents if there are any changes. Failure to do so may result in processing delays.

    4. Make online payment for the PC renewal fee via Visa or MasterCard or GIRO if you have an existing GIRO arrangement with us.

  5. Please take note of the following:

    1. The application fees are $670 for 2-year TCM Physician PC and $570 for 2-year Acupuncturist PC.

    2. Acupuncturists who are also TCM Physicians only need to renew and make payments for the TCM Physician PCs. You are not required to renew both PCs.

    3. Credit card payments typically take up to 7 working days for clearance.

    4. For those with an existing GIRO arrangement, GIRO deduction will only be triggered after you have submitted your application. It is important that you maintain sufficient funds in your bank account for the deduction.

    5. Late application fee of $75 will be imposed if your PC renewal application is submitted from 1 Jun 2026 to 30 Jun 2026.

    6. Late application fee of $200 will apply to PC application submitted after 30 Jun 2026, i.e. after the expiry of your current PC.

    7. Application fees paid are not refundable. Request for waiver of late application fees will not be entertained.

  6. Electronic PC ("e-PC") will be issued when your renewal application has been approved.  You will receive an email by 30 Jun 2026 with the link to download and print your new e-PC.

  7. Please note that under Regulation 4 (a) of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners (Practice, Conduct and Ethics) Regulations (“TCMPR”), you are required to conspicuously display a copy of your current e-PC at your TCM clinics and place(s) of practice as a TCM practitioner. You can print a copy of the e-PC and display it inside the practice premises, e.g., the patients’ waiting area and/or in your consultation room.

  8. To view and download your valid e-Certs, please follow the steps below:

    1. Login to the Professional Registration System (PRS)

    2. At the left menu, click “Administration” followed by “View Certificates”

    3. To view the electronic Registration Certificate ("e-RC")2 or e-PC, please click on the hyperlink on the validity date under [Current Registration] header.

    4. The e-RC/e-PC would then display in a pop-up window:

      1. For most mobile device users, the e-RC/e-PC should download and display automatically

      2. For laptop/ computer users, please follow instructions on your internet browser to view and download a copy of the e-RC/e-PC.

  9. We would like to draw your attention to Section 24 of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Act 2000 (“TCMPA”), which states that it is an offence for a registered TCM practitioner to carry out any prescribed practice of TCM/acupuncture without holding a valid PC or once your PC expires.

1Under Section 12(3) of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act 2000, a registered person must update any change in the registered person’s name, working address, residential address, or any other particulars that may be prescribed, within 28 days of the change. Failure to comply with this requirement is an offence under Section 12(4) of the TCM Practitioners Act 2000.

2Electronic Registration Certificates (e-RC) are issued to practitioners registered from 2022 onwards, as well as to earlier registrants who have applied for electronic copies for display at multiple practice locations or as replacements for misplaced hardcopy certificates.
