IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CLINICAL COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT (CCA) FOR THE TCMPB QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS FOR REGISTRATION
5 October 2026
1 The Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board (TCMPB) implemented the modified Singapore TCM Physicians Registration Examination (mSTRE) in August 2025 as planned and the revised format will continue to apply for the August 2026 qualifying examination for registration.
2 As communicated in our circular (opens in new tab) dated 3 January 2025, the CCA will replace the current format of the modified Singapore TCM-Physicians Registration Examination (mSTRE) and modified Singapore Acupuncturists Registration Examination (mSARE) as the Board’s Qualifying Examinations for Registration. The first CCA will be administered in 2027 with the CCA-TCM Physicians (CCA-TCMP) replacing the mSTRE and the CCA-Acupuncturists (CCA-A) replacing the mSARE.
